What kinds of tools are available for "Engaging" my users?

We've realized that one of the challenges for a successful IdeaScale implementation is the ability to engage the users in a way that motivates users to check in periodically. There are a few tools and strategies available to accomplish this:

• Idea/Topic posters automatically get notified via. email when someone comments on the Idea or when the status of an idea changes (by the moderator)
• Commenters have the option of enabling Topic-Level email notification so other comments are emailed back to the commenters
• Users voting on topics also have the option of subscribing to the topic via email (inline) as they are voting.
